About me…
I am a director and administrator interested in creating community through epic stories. My work traverses the country, assisting and directing at multiple regional theaters. Additionally, I currently serve as the executive artistic assistant at The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis.
Focusing on theatricality that invites the imagination and minimalist gestures that incite creativity, my work is agile and centered on engaging the audience as a co-conspirator. I began practicing theatre at a young age when my family would converge in the kitchen and tell stories for hours on end. Laughter, awe, and house parties were the kindling that lit my creative fire. As a Tejano, I am proud that my culture is an intersection of so many histories, and I strive to hold space for similar exchanges in the rooms I lead. I am also a proud associate member of SDC.
